The detector system is either attached to a fence structure or laid underground on a defined path .Any attempt to penetrate this protective barrier generates mechanical stress on the sensor cable. This stress is converted to electrical signals. The system microprocessor analyzer processes the following signal parameters: frequency, amplitude, time sequence of peaks, etc. These and other electrical characteristics are classified in order to determine if a true intrusion attempt is the real source of the signal.
The Secotec detector system is an entirely passive detection system and cannot be compromised or detected by sophisticated detection and analyzing equipment.
